About

Garret Barnes, an accomplished legal professional, completed his high school education at St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Bradenton. He then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, graduating in May 1987. Garret continued his academic journey at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate degree in May 1991 and was subsequently admitted to The Florida Bar the same year.

A dedicated family man, Garret is happily married and has three children. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to his community and profession through various roles, including past board memberships with the Manatee County Chapter of the American Red Cross and the United Way of Manatee County. Additionally, he has served in leadership positions at St. Stephen's Episcopal School, the Kiwanis Club of Bradenton, the South Florida Museum, and Christ Episcopal Church. Currently, Garret is the President of the Realtor / Attorney Joint Committee.

As a member of The Florida Bar and the Manatee County Bar Association, Garret specializes in real property law, residential and commercial transactions, land development and planning, administrative law, and business law.
