Judgment Debtor Examination in Florida
A judgment debtor examination is a post-judgment discovery proceeding under Section 56.29, Florida Statutes, allowing creditors to compel debtors to disclose their assets and financial condition under oath. It is the primary tool for identifying assets to satisfy a judgment.
Process
- Creditor files motion for proceedings supplementary
- Court orders debtor to appear and testify under oath
- Debtor must disclose all property, accounts, income, and recent transfers

Florida Debtor Exemptions
