Occupancy Permits in Florida

An occupancy permit (CO) authorizes building occupancy after construction and inspection. Required under Florida Building Code Section 110.3. Occupying without a permit: stop-work orders, daily fines, forced vacating, insurance issues, and heightened liability. Commercial tenants must verify CO matches intended use.
