Occupational License (Business Tax Receipt) in Florida

Florida’s business tax receipt (formerly occupational license, renamed 2006) is required to operate any business. Authorized under Section 205.011-205.1969. Fees: $1-$10 annually. Renew by September 30. Operating without one: second-degree misdemeanor (Section 205.053), fines up to $500.
