Florida Real Property Tax Appeals

FL tax appeal: informal meeting, VAB petition (Section 194.011: within 25 days of TRIM), or circuit court (60 days after VAB). Grounds: overvaluation, wrong classification, denied exemption, or bad methodology. Appraiser’s value presumed correct; petitioner must present competent substantial evidence. Evidence: comparable sales, appraisal, income/cost approach, and photos. TRIM notice sent by August 24.
