Employment Liability Under Respondeat Superior in Florida

FL employment liability: employer vicariously liable for employee torts (driving, workplace injuries, malpractice). Joint and several; employer can seek contribution. IC exception: employer generally not liable for independent contractors (control test). Exceptions: non-delegable duties, inherently dangerous. Negligent hiring: direct employer liability even outside scope (background check failure, retention, supervision, entrustment).
