Restraining Orders vs. Injunctions in Florida

FL terminology: restraining order (TRO) = emergency, short-term. Injunction = temporary (until trial) or permanent (after trial). DV: no "restraining orders"; correct term is "injunction for protection" (Section 741.30). Types: DV, repeat violence, dating, sexual, stalking (Section 784.046), and civil (Rule 1.610). Violation: first-degree misdemeanor, possible felony for repeat; arrest without warrant.
