Underground Utility Locating
Utility locating: identifying underground lines before excavation. Methods: GPR, electromagnetic, vacuum excavation, and hand probing. FL: Sunshine 811 required (Section 556.105: call 2+ business days before digging). Utilities mark within tolerance zone (24" each side). Failure: liability + fines + criminal. Damage: repair costs, property damage, personal injury, and service interruption. If no call: presumed negligent. CGL insurance typically covers accidental damage.
