Andrea serves as the Litigation Department Partner and Chair at Barnes Walker, where she leads a team of dedicated legal professionals in handling a wide range of complex civil litigation matters. With over twenty years of experience, Andrea focuses her practice on Probate and Trust Litigation, Commercial Business Disputes, and General Civil Litigation. Known for her results-driven approach, she combines her strong, intellectual legal knowledge with practical strategies to serve her clients to be their best advocate. Before joining Barnes Walker, Andrea owned and operated the Law Office of Andrea M. Johnson, P.A. where she built a strong reputation as a diligent advocate all while treating clients with respect, honesty, and care. Andrea is also active in quasi-judicial work, serving as an Attorney Special Magistrate for multiple Florida counties’ Value Adjustment Boards and is a FINRA Arbitrator.
A proud graduate of Stetson University College of Law, Andrea earned her J.D. magna cum laude, ranking 4th in her class, and holds a B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University. She has received numerous accolades, including:

Passionate about service, Andrea volunteers her time with Teen Court and Legal Aid, and is a proud member of Bradenton Kiwanis, the Federalist Society, and Leadership Manatee (Class of 2021–2022).
Andrea is not only a skilled and tireless litigator, but also a mentor, leader, and advocate for her community—qualities that set her apart and make her a trusted ally both inside and outside the courtroom. Andrea and her husband, Brian, have been residents of Manatee County since 2002, where their children were born and raised. She and her family regularly attend Bayside Community Church – West Bradenton campus.
