About
W. Charles Day (Charles) is originally from Columbus Georgia. He attended Georgia Public Schools and earned a BS degree from Columbus State University in 1996 with a focus on Political Science and Accounting. After undergraduate school he worked in Public Accounting as a Staff Accountant at a local CPA firm. After a year in Public Accounting, he was accepted to Cumberland School of law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, earning a Juris Doctorate in 2000. During his time there he also attended Samford’s Business School, earning an MBA in 2000 as well. Another activity while in law school was an externship with district counsel of the Internal Revenue Service.
After law school, Charles entered private practice and began working in business transactions, tax and litigation, eventually focusing on insurance disputes. As a result of this experience Charles was contacted by a large regional medical center inquiring about his assisting in insurance and financial matters. The regional medical center also operated a large insurance company, with which he assisted in many matters including managed care agreements, disputes, and practices. While maintaining the regional medical center as a client and an office at their facility, he began to represent other medical centers in and around the southeast region. As a result of a multitude of successes in this practice, he formed Aspirion Health Resources, LLC (Aspirion) to provide claim management services to other facilities.
After forming Aspirion, Charles developed a sales and operations teams that grew to manage the most complex claims of facilities and physicians throughout the continental United States.
Charles’ practice focuses exclusively on healthcare matters, especially in regards to insurance claims and managed care disputes. He is licensed in Georgia and Alabama and the bulk of his practice is focused there. He is also admitted to numerous federal and state courts, including the United States Tax Court.
Charles lives in Cortez, Florida with his wife of twenty-four years (24), Megan and two (2) daughters, Caroline, and Sophie. In his free time, he enjoys reading, boating and upland hunting.
